He doesn’t care, as long as it’s wet! (Oboe the lovebird takes baths with me, and he likes the water hot, just like me. It works out well.)

I love watching it too, Flo. There’s nothing like an obviously happy creature to give you a little burst of vicarious joy.
That was fun! I thought maybe he’d be having a shower in a real shower but this was a lot easier than that. I’m surprised he liked to get so wet. How does he dry off at the end?
He does occasionally shower with me, but that’s mostly Oboe’s domain. Kazoo prefers the kitchen sink and the mister. He preens himself for about half an hour after his shower, repairing his feathers and making everything perfect. Then he just air-dries naturally.
He sounds so happy. Like Julia, I’m wondering how he dries off?
Candis, I love his laugh. It’s so infectious. I just answered Julia’s question about the drying off – he air-dries. It takes a couple of hours before he’s totally dry again.
Zoom – that was absolutely hilarious. My husband and I watched it together and it just made our day. What a sweet little fellow.
