GC picked me up at the airport late last night, and the mannequins surprised me with a Welcome Home party!
Duncan punished me for going away by feigning indifference for about three minutes, but then he snuggled up and purred and stroked my face with his big fat orange paws.
I had a lovely time away, but it’s good to be home again. Absence really does make the heart grow fonder.
Welcome back! You were missed.
At least Duncan only feigned indifference – I had a cat who use to poop square in the middle of my bed every time I went away.
Aw shucks. If your heart or his heart were any fonder they would be in a diabetic coma. Welcome back!!
Thanks Kim.
Valerie, I won’t ask why you don’t have that cat anymore. (But for the record, I used to have a kitten who pooped in my roommate’s bed every time I went away.)
XUP, I know! I didn’t think it was possible either!
I got home to a pig holding a sign that said “Yay, Deb’s home” and Chloe wagging her tail so fast against the wall that she woke Kati up. Oh yeah, Rob was happy to see me too.
Zoom,
Actually, he unfortunately died. He was one of the best cats in the world (other than the poop thing – but I didn’t go away often) and had the most catittude I’ve ever seen!
Welcome back, Susan, I am new to your site and am enjoying it immensely.
You have one of my Quirky B keyboards, the one called Gemma. We were at the Art Auction for Haiti a few months back and I was thrilled when you bid on it.
I am developing a web site but in the meantime, have a blog about how I came to be an artist using keyboards as my canvass. http://www.quirkybs.blogspot.com
Love your mannikin. I have a Shannikin Mannikin made out of wood 2 X 2’s, papier machier, string and glue. However, she is dressed very fancy, like a CanCan dancer, currently.
Best wishes to Susan and everyone on her site.
Shannon
Welcome back! Must say your mannequine designed a lovely sign.
What a sweetie. Duncan let you off lightly. Our cat held out much longer even for when we went for groceries.
Welcome back.
