It’s the last day before surgery so I had a bunch of things I wanted to do today. I wasn’t counting on a migraine. Or feeling yucky because some of my usual meds had to be discontinued in advance of surgery. Or worse-than-usual leg pain. Or throwing up. (Have I ever told you how much I hate throwing up?)
The only thing on my list that I managed to get done was a visit to the Second Career offices to introduce myself to my employment counselor. She was very nice. I cried. She gave me kleenex.
This may be a bad day Zoom, but good ones are on the way !!
The wind-up to surgery is tough. So best wishes for tomorrow. Have you taught GC how to post for you? Take care?
Oh, Zoom. (I hate throwing up too — at one point I was totally phobic about it.) I’ll be thinking of you tomorrow. Hoping it’s a better day than today.
Last bad day for you! Tomorrow the good ones start! Keeping you in my prayers.
Thinking of you and sending tons of positive vibes your way….
Wow, I would have bailed on the career person!
Speaking of throwing up, tell them exactly how you feel coming out of the aneasthetic and they will give you nice medicine to help if you feel queasy. I didn’t even bother to open my eyes. I supposed they believed me because I was the colour of wet cement.
You’ll do fine!
Purrs and careful hugs!
Love & hugs. Many, many hugs.
You don’t necessarily need a (second) career. A career doesn’t make who you are.
You got a life.
Hugs!
Hugs, my dear one. Hugs and hugs.
Hoping nothing but the best for you!
Love you lots and can’t wait to see you all healthy on Monday.
Lots of love surrounds you as you head into surgery …
If the woman gave you kleenex . . . she’s gotta a be nice.
By co-incidence I’m scheduled to plant a tree at 8 a.m. tomorrow mornaing and the usual wish will be planted with. And it will be for you.

Sending best thoughts and wishes to you, dear Zoom.
Everything will be fine. You are in the hands of professionals. The vast majority of people who have this surgery thrive and continue, and people who love you will be right there with you when you wake up.
I dedicated my yoga practice to your healing, Zoom. Let it join the throng of hugs and love that surrounds you.
Thinking of you and sending lots of love! And also cake (well, I’m eating the cake but am sending the cake-y goodness your way).
Thinking of you big time:)
