These are my Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) from the past couple of weeks. The more I use Photoshop, the more I like it. The feature I use the most is the Un-Do button. If only life were like that.
Plenty of fish:
Two of hearts (this one uses a scan of a daguerreotype):
The Owl Woman (this one incorporates the Two of Hearts card):
Sam:
I feel sorry for clowns:
Recharging:
Sepia Time:
Sepia Time in Blue:
Nun Too Soon (incorporates a scan of a daguerreotype):
Butterfly Garden:
Oh, and then there’s this one: it’s not digital – it’s hand-drawn using a pencil, eraser and sharpies. (As you can see, I haven’t been exaggerating about my utter lack of natural talent.)
that one of Sam aww
I love your trading cards. I think that your natural wit stands out with them and that you have found your niche. The paintings remind me of some Christmas gifts we received a few years ago…especially the swirl. We wouldn’t want you plagarizing someone else’s art work…please.
Boo, I know, that one makes me sad and happy at the same time.
Deb, thank you for the kind words about the art cards and the, um, brutally honest critique of the paintings. 😉 But give the swirl a break, dammit, it’s not finished yet! What do you think I should put in the centre?
Anything but Menstrual blood…family joke folks
Susan, you are a hoot. Great atc’s too. I’ve just started dabbling in digital. I need a decent printer for that though.
Hey Bonnie, it’s good to see you – you’re the first of my ATC trading partners to stop by for a visit (or at least the first to leave a comment).
About Deb’s reference to blood: we have a sister who is an actual real-life artist with formal training and everything. She does weird stuff with menstrual blood and dead people’s ashes. AND she’s a witch.
can I meet your sister? she sounds like fun
